The Elizabeth Schlosser Fellowship is a fundraising scholarship for the Elizabeth Schlosser Fellowship at the Brooklyn Museum designed to encourage the intellectual curiosity of emerging artists. The Fellowship is intended to support the research, production, and exhibition of art, and to initiate and cultivate new connections between artists, museums, and audiences. Since its launch, the Elizabeth Schlosser Fellowship has brought together artists from across different disciplines to engage in projects that range from book projects and mural projects to a video installation and performance. Between 2013 and 2016, the Elizabeth Schlosser Fellowship has awarded the fellowship to the following artists:
The Ranked Choice Voting NYC campaign was led by the US Citizen Action , an organization dedicated to enacting campaign finance reform and promoting citizen participation in the process of government. BYP and USCA worked together to produce videos supporting Ranked Choice Voting, and for the 2015 elections, BYP launched Black Youth Project: US Citizen Action , a formal non-partisan coalition of community based organizations and youth activists dedicated to advancing political and social justice with a focus on youth centered policy. One of the goals of the coalition is to engage in youth-led policy work and to create more youth-friendly policy.
The Harlem Research Center also has a book collection of materials relating to the subject of African American culture in Harlem, featuring a range of rare books about Harlem, including the Harlem's an African Metropolis: Negro Life in Harlem by Du Bois, 827ec27edc
